White Fillings

Here at Warrendale Dental Care we can replace your old amalgam (silver) or gold fillings with natural tooth coloured composite material.

These are made from a putty-like resin that can be moulded to match the shape and colour of the tooth. They are set hard by a bright visible blue light and are long lasting and life-like. White fillings are the most popular cosmetic procedure but they do have some limitations. Your dentist will discuss these with you as sometimes amalgam or gold is still the material of choice in certain situations.

Many people decide to switch to white fillings when older restorations need replacing but others decide to replace them for purely cosmetic reasons where they are visible on smiling or laughing.
